Matumaini Child Care Center
Our goal to build a new, larger home for the children, further improving their living conditions and promoting better study habits is under way. With this new building, we will also be able to support more children, doubling the capacity of the existing Center.

The new center for Matumaini is located in the same village of Rau, a few kilometers from where the current orphanage is currently located.   Knock purchased a
1-acre piece of land in February of 2009 and hopes to start construction soon.  Due to funding constraints the center will be built in two phases.  The first phase will include two dormitories for boys and girls that will accommodate up to 60 children, a dining hall with a storage room and kitchen, and two classrooms.  Part of the center will be utilized as a community center in that the classrooms and dining hall will potentially be the home to educational seminars on a variety of topics as the opportunity arises.  The second phase will include an administrative block as well as a house for volunteers.
